Given the current state of affairs with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and out of an abundance of caution, the New York City District Council of Carpenters Training Center has decided to postpone all class schedules until further notice. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and notify members when classes will be re-scheduled.
Members may take classes online with recognized accredited organizations during the time of school closure and will be reimbursed by the Carpenters Training Center with original receipts of course completion reflecting the dates from March 16th to the CTC reopening (TBD).
We will only recognize and reimburse accredited organizations and courses listed below:
Instructions: Members with an immediate need to obtain a particular certification* in order to become employed or maintain employment can take accredited online certification courses listed below during the period between when the school is closed and the earliest rescheduled CTC class. Members can submit the expense of the course along with their certificate of completion to the CTC for reimbursement. In order to be reimbursed (paid back) for a course, you must save the original receipt of course completion and present it to the front office at the NYC DC CTC, 395 Hudson St, 2nd Fl, New York, NY 10014, after re-opening.
🛈 *Notice: “CITF will be extending the qualification and certification credentials run through CITF for up to ninety days for those that are set to expire during the hopefully short duration of closures.” To read the full CITF memo click here.
